Warren’s Addison Langford crowned 2023 UAM Homecoming Queen

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) celebrated its annual homecoming festivities with great enthusiasm on Saturday, September 30, as twelve outstanding students were selected for the 2023 Homecoming Court. The announcement took place during a vibrant pre-game ceremony at Convoy Leslie-Cotton Boll Stadium, where UAM faced off against East Central University.

The 2023 Homecoming Court comprises a diverse group of accomplished students, each demonstrating exceptional dedication and involvement within the UAM community. The court members are Kinlee Baker, Rylee Brewer, Rayvin Callaway, Allison Chambers, Taylor East, Katelyn Harris, Shylee Head, Cyarah Kensmil, Addison Langford, Nicole Martin, Mary Annsley Pugh, and Faith Chelsea Simmons. These remarkable individuals were chosen based on their outstanding contributions and commitment to UAM.

The highlight of the event was the crowning of the Homecoming Queen, an honor that went to Addison Langford, an alum of Warren High School. Addison’s selection as queen was the result of a democratic process, with the entire student body casting their votes for their preferred candidate. The momentous crowning took place at the conclusion of the pre-game ceremony, and it was a joyous occasion for both Addison and the UAM community.

Addison Langford was escorted by her father, Cameron Langford, and was joined on the field by Dr. Doss and Rebecca Nichols (former).

Addison Langford is the proud daughter of Cameron and Kim Langford. Her involvement in student organizations showcases her commitment to both personal growth and community betterment. Addison’s roles as UAM Ambassadors Secretary and her participation in the Exercise Science Club reflect her passion for leadership and her field of study.

Her commitment to her faith and community is further exemplified through her participation in the MBSF (Monticello Baptist Student Fellowship), where she has undoubtedly left a positive impact. Addison’s journey through the university has been marked by dedication, involvement, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
