Albert Dean Nichols, 79, of Rye died October 30,2023 at Bellview Nursing and Rehab Center in Monticello. He was born May 31, 1944 in Warren, a son of the late Albert Nichols and Bertha Taylor Nichols. Dean was a lifelong resident of Rye, a life long member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He was a farmer, where he grew chickens for Tyson Foods for over 40 years. Dean graduated from Woodlawn Public Schools where he was a valedictorian in his class of 1962.
Also preceding him in death is his wife Nancy Thompson Nichols whom he married February 17, 1967 and she died December 27, 2021.
Survivors: daughter, Penny Pyle and spouse David, Doddridge and son, Tracy Nichols and spouse Monica, Warren. Brother, Delbert Nichols and spouse Donna, Rye; grandchildren, Ethan Pyle and fiancé Keri Fomby and Haisley Nichols.
Funeral service was 2:00PM November 3 at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial was in Union Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
