HERMITAGE, Ark. – In the heart of Hermitage, the City has kicked off a holiday donation drive to fill the Blessing Box, a community initiative aimed at providing support to those in need. The Blessing Box is seeking contributions of nonperishable food items and personal care products to ensure that everyone in the community can enjoy the warmth and abundance of the holiday season.
Residents are encouraged to drop off their donations at the designated location in the city: Hermitage Preschool, between 7:30 to 8 AM or 3 to 3:30 PM. Mrs. Samantha and Mrs. Marisa will be on hand to graciously receive and organize the contributions.
The City of Hermitage is urging the donation of nonperishable food items, including Ramen Noodles, Flavored Rice Side Items, Instant Potatoes, Cake Mixes, Cookie Mixes, Brownie Mixes, Cans of Icing, Cornbread Mixes, Muffin Mixes, Canned Meats, Canned Fruit, Fruit Cups, Nutrigrain Bars, and Canned Ravioli or Spaghetti O’s.
Personal care items are also welcomed and appreciated. Examples include Deodorant (for both men and women), Soap, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Wet Wipe Packs, and Travel Size Shampoos.
To encourage participation, the City is offering a special incentive for contributors. For every 20 items brought for the Blessing Box, individuals can earn 1 hour of Community Service.
