Warren Lady Jacks put up a fight but fall short against Stuttgart

STUTTGART, Ark. – In a hard-fought battle on the court, the Warren Lady Jacks displayed resilience and determination, but ultimately succumbed to the Stuttgart Lady Ricebirds with a final score of 49-38.

1st Quarter

The opening quarter showcased a solid defensive effort from the Warren squad, but Stuttgart managed to secure the lead by connecting on a couple of three-pointers. Charlee Wardlaw and Livi McKinney contributed points for Warren, yet they found themselves trailing 10-5 as the first quarter concluded.

2nd Quarter

Stuttgart continued their three-point success at the start of the second quarter, putting pressure on the Lady Jacks. Wardlaw, however, responded with a three-pointer of her own, assisted by Breize Fellows. Despite Bailey Miller’s notable contributions with a jumper and a three-pointer, the Lady Jacks faced a 26-14 deficit by halftime.

3rd Quarter

Bailey Miller opened the third quarter with a jumper, adding four more points during the period. Wardlaw attempted to narrow the gap with a three-pointer. Unfortunately late in the third, she exited the game due to an injury. The Lady Jacks trailed 37-26 at the close of the third quarter, feeling the absence of Wardlaw’s on-court presence.

Lady Jack Bailey Miller(22), scored 11 points and recorded seven rebounds and a steal at Stuttgart Tuesday.

4th Quarter

Livi McKinney initiated the final quarter with an impressive rebound and put-back. Her steal and assist to Fellows for a layup brought the score to 38-32 with 5:45 remaining. Despite late-game efforts, including a block by Miller, the Lady Jacks fell short, concluding the game with a 49-38 defeat.

The Lady Jacks, now standing at 3-11 overall and 2-6 in Conference 8-4A, will embark on another road trip to face a talented Watson Chapel team on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
