William Grady Rawls, was born January 15, 1932 in Marsden, Arkansas, to the late James G. Rawls and Daisy Lee Callaway Rawls. Also preceding him in death is his brother, James E. Rawls.
Grady is survived by his wife, JoAnn Huitt Rawls, whom he married on June 7, 1957. Also survived by his daughters, Pam Ragar, of Louisville, Kentucky and Lori Wigley, and spouse, Mike, of Monticello. He is preceded in death by son in law, Bob Ragar of Louisville, Kentucky.
Grady has four grandchildren: John Ragar, and spouse Lisa of Collierville, Tennessee; Robert Ragar, spouse Brooke, of Louisville, Kentucky; Daniel Wigley, spouse Taryn of Monticello, Arkansas; Mary Elizabeth Wigley of Monticello, Arkansas. And five great grandchildren: Daisy and Lindsay Ragar, William and Claire Ragar and Scarlett Gongora.
Grady was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He graduated from Hermitage High School and attended University of Arkansas at Monticello. He was a District Sales Manager, for Rock Island Railroad, covering many states for 27 years, returning to Arkansas in 1975. Grady continued with Georgia Pacific’s Fordyce & Princeton Railroad until retirement in 1996.
Grady volunteered and was active in civic and many community projects in Rossville, Georgia, including the Lions Club. He enjoyed his family, fishing and hunting. He shared this love with his grandchildren and family creating many happy memories at Rawls Hunting Club.

William Grady Rawls passed away from this earth on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
