Mayor Gregg Reep presents contribution to Tomato Festival

WARREN, Ark. – On Thursday, May 9, 2024, Warren Mayor Gregg Reep made a contribution to the upcoming 2024 Pink Tomato Festival. This contribution was presented to Nora Pocheco, representing Warren Bank & Trust Co., in anticipation of the festival’s grand events.

The 2024 Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival is set to kick off on June 14th and 15th, promising a weekend filled with vibrant festivities and community spirit. The festival’s schedule is packed with entertainment and activities for attendees of all ages.

Starting with a prelude of events on Saturday, June 8, featuring the Miss Petite, Miss Pre-Teen, Miss Teen, and Miss Pink Tomato Pageants at the Hermitage Community Center from 5 pm onwards, the festival builds up excitement leading to its main days.

The main festivities commence on Thursday, June 13, with the Warren Lions Club Gospel Music Jamboree at the Immanuel Baptist Church Sanctuary at 6 pm. This is followed by three evenings of carnival delights in downtown Warren, with armband nights on Thursday and Saturday to ensure non-stop fun for all.

Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, will be filled with a plethora of activities such as the Information Booth & T-shirt sales, food vendors, obstacle course/bouncy house, arts & crafts exhibitions, and more, sponsored and supported by various local entities including Bradley County Medical Center, Junior Auxiliary, and Warren Bank & Trust.

Notable events include the Tomato Packing Contest, Cutest Baby Contest, Comedy & Magic shows by Derrick Rose, salsa contest, DJ performances, live music by Midnight South, and much more, promising an unforgettable experience for festival-goers.

The festival’s grand finale on Saturday, June 15, will feature the Pink Tomato Festival 5k Run/Walk sponsored by Emrich & Scroggins, LLP, a steak cook-off, bike decorating contest sponsored by Judge Bruce & Lou Anne Anderson, a car show, parade, tomato eating contest, pageants, luncheon, historical museum visits, and culminating in a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by First State Bank of Warren, Hermitage, & Hampton.
