Christopher Sean Roberts was born on June 16, 1974 in Texarkana, Texas to Sammy Roberts and Gaylon Marcantel. He was a graduate of Warren High School Class of 1992 then attended UAM. He graduated LSU with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Doctorate of Pathology. Chris later attended IUPUI receiving his masters in Molecular Genetics. He practiced in various clinics and taught veterinary classes in Little Rock while writing articles for science publications.
Chris is preceded in death by grandparents, Elmer and Maxine Roberts and Claude and Sonya Knowles. He is survived by his father, Sammy Roberts; his mother, Gaylon Marcantel and stepfather, Ray; a brother, Scott Roberts and spouse Kim; two nieces, Kaylee and Katelynn Roberts; an uncle, John Ferguson and spouse Melody; and an aunt, Cherrie Huitt.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations and memorials can be made to the Warren Animal Shelter or to St. Marks Catholic Church in Monticello. Arrangements by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
