Press release from the Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival:
Arkansas Pie Festival’s Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival Pie Contest is a new addition for the 68th Pink Tomato Festival schedule of events.
The inaugural Pie Contest will be held on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at the First Methodist Church, located at 111 West Church Street in downtown Warren.
Competitors may download a form from the Pink Tomato Festival website and bring it with them or may be filled out onsite the day of competition. Entries will be taken between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. Judging will begin at 9:30 and winners will be announced at the All Tomato Luncheon on that day at 12:30 p.m. Winners in each division will receive $100.
There are 2 categories of judging: Pies with tomato and Pies without tomato. A contestant may enter both categories. There will be not entry fee this year. A pie and an entry form is all that is needed to enter. The pies will be judged based on crust, filling, appearance and overall impression. The judges will determine winners in each division and an overall winner will be chosen and will be eligible to compete in the Arkansas Pie Festival competition in April, 2025.
