Congratulations to Cody Weatherspoon for being selected to attend and participate in The National Student Leadership Summit in Indianapolis. Cody had to apply and be interviewed to be selected among high school juniors across the nation.
The NSLS will sharpen the leadership skills of interscholastic athletes and provide them with additional professional development to bring back to their school to make a difference amongst their peers. This prestigious award encompasses an all expense paid trip.
Cody was selected to serve on AAA’s Student Advisory Council his junior year along with 8 other students from AAA’s Activity Districts, thus making him eligible to apply for the NSLS selection. The council was formed to offer an opportunity for students to share their voice regarding participation in AAA activities and athletics.
Cody is a 2025 Senior at WHS!
