WARREN, Ark. – Warren Elementary School has announced the hiring of LaFoy Smith, a Warren School District alum and former Lumberjack football standout, as their new Physical Education (PE) coach. The announcement was made yesterday, July 2, 2024.
LaFoy Smith, known for his impressive athletic career, played college football at Ouachita Baptist University. At Ouachita, Smith made a significant impact on the football field as a defensive lineman. During his tenure, he earned second team All-Great American Conference (GAC) honors, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport (Ouachita Baptist University Athletics) (Ouachita Baptist University Athletics). Smith’s performance was pivotal in various games, including recording crucial sacks and contributing to the team’s defensive strength (Ouachita Baptist University Athletics).

Smith was hired in 2022 by the Warren School District, originally as a Paraprofessional and an Assistant Senior High & Assistant Junior High Football coach via stipend.
