Warren High School Alumnus Maddox Lassiter Earns Spot on First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll

Birmingham, Ala. – Maddox Lassiter, a Warren High School alumnus and current student-athlete at the University of Arkansas, has been named to the 2023-24 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll. This prestigious recognition highlights Lassiter’s dedication and hard work, both on the football field and in the classroom.

Lassiter is among 74 Razorback student-athletes who were honored for their academic achievements, part of a distinguished group of 1,459 honorees across the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Majoring in Business, Lassiter has demonstrated exceptional dedication to his studies while balancing the demanding schedule of a collegiate athlete.

The First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2023-24 academic calendar. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or above for the academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher at their institution. This recognition reflects Lassiter’s commitment to academic excellence, meeting the rigorous standards set by the SEC.

The criteria for the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll include participation in a Southeastern Conference championship sport or a sport listed on the institution’s NCAA Sports Sponsorship Form. Additionally, student-athletes must successfully complete 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours of non-remedial academic credit toward a baccalaureate degree and must be a member of a varsity team for the entire NCAA Championship segment.
