FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Razorbacks’ two-member transfer class of Kailey Wyckoff and Karlie Davison has been ranked No. 9 nationally in the Softball America Transfer Class Rankings, the publication announced on Wednesday.
Wyckoff checked in at No. 8 overall among the individual transfer rankings. The left-handed junior arrives in Fayetteville from Texas Tech where she had an outstanding 2024 season which featured First-Team All-Big 12 Accolades. She saw action at catcher, first base, left field and right field over her 50 games played, including 49 starts. Wyckoff batted .407 with 12 doubles, seven home runs and a career-high 35 RBI. She posted a career-best 24 game reached-base streak and a pair of seven-game hitting streaks while leading the Red Raiders with 15-multi hit games. As a freshman she was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year after batting .393 with nine home runs and 39 RBI.
Wyckoff was followed by Davison at No. 42 on the list. Davison spent her freshman and sophomore seasons at Utah playing in 96 games with 87 starts, primarily at shortstop. This past season, she hit .294 with five doubles, three home runs and 12 RBI to go with 15 runs scored and five stolen bases over 40 games as she helped the Utes reach the NCAA Tournament. She enjoyed a hot start to her sophomore season, hitting .500 through the team’s first 12 games with at least one hit in 11 of those 12 games before finishing February hitting .421 for the month. As a freshman, she led Utah with 11 home runs while driving in 32 runs, helping the Utes reach the Women’s College World Series.
The Razorbacks are coming off a 37-18 mark in 2024 which featured their seventh-consecutive NCAA Tournament berth in 2024 and fifth national seed, all of which have come under head coach Courtney Deifel’s guidance.
