NEW YORK, N.Y. – Arkansas tight end Luke Hasz has been named to the 2024 John Mackey Award Watch List.

Hasz had a stellar freshman campaign before suffering an injury during the fifth game of the 2023 season. The Bixby, Okla., product was named to The Athletic’s Midseason Freshman All-America team after catching 16 passes for 253 yards and three touchdowns over five games. Against LSU (Sept. 23), he hauled in a career-best six catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns to earn John Mackey Tight End of the Week honors.
Through the first five games of the 2023 season, Hasz ranked second in the SEC and ninth nationally among all tight ends in receiving yards (253). Hasz’s three touchdown receptions were also tied for the sixth-most nationally among FBS tight ends at the time of his injury.
The award is named in honor of John Mackey, a five-time Pro Bowl and three-time All-NFL selection. In 1992, Mackey became only the second tight end to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 2024 John Mackey Award winner will be unveiled live on ESPN on Thursday, December 12, during The Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
