WARREN, Ark. – LifeShare Blood Center is organizing a crucial blood drive in Warren to address the significant decrease in blood donations typically experienced during the summer months. The event will take place on Monday, August 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the BloodMobile located at 104 Myrtle Street in Warren, Arkansas.
The summer season often results in a shortage of blood donations, partly due to the reduced participation from high school students, who contribute approximately 20% of the total blood donations annually. LifeShare is urging the community to help “beat the summer slump” by donating blood during this critical time.
As a token of appreciation, donors who participate between July 6 and August 31 will receive a complimentary LifeShare cooler tote and a pair of cool shades, adding a fun summer twist to the life-saving effort.
For those interested in making a difference and saving lives, the blood drive offers a convenient opportunity to contribute to the community’s health and well-being. The need for blood is ongoing, and the summer months are no exception.
Residents are encouraged to sign up and participate in this essential event. Your donation could save a life and help ensure a stable blood supply during a time when it is most needed.
