WARREN, Ark. – The Lumberjack Booster Club hosted a spirited meet and greet event on Thursday night, August 8, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church to kick off the 2024 Lumberjack Football season. Parents, coaches, friends, and local supporters gathered for the evening, showing their enthusiastic support for the Jr. Jacks and Lumberjacks.

Randy Rawls of Union Bank opened the event with a warm welcome. The 2024 Jr. Jacks and Lumberjacks were introduced, along with the senior high cheerleaders, who later energized the crowd with a spirited cheer.
Attendees enjoyed a hamburger supper, and official Lumberjack jerseys from previous seasons were available for purchase, marking the transition to new jerseys for the seniors this year.
A silent auction added to the excitement, followed by a live auction with Mike Nichols serving as the auctioneer. The auction results included:
- $1,000: Head Coach Bo Hembree won a Lumberjack cake.
- $300: Patrick Milton won Lumberjack cake pops.
- $400: Superintendent Bryan Cornish won a 4×4 crawfish table.
- $200: Joey Cathey of State Farm won a custom tic-tac-toe board game.
- $275: Jerry West won a banana pudding made by Lucy Woodard.
- $400: Union Bank bought an Oreo cheesecake by Jacqueline Denton.
- $400: Warren Bank bought a white chocolate pound cake made by Lindsey Vickers.
- $1,000: Dr. Joe Wharton won a “nothing but chocolate chocolate chip” Bundt cake and the platter.
- $300: Patrick Milton won a box of homemade tamales by Elva Gonzalez.
- $100: Another box of tamales by Elva Gonzalez was sold, though the buyer’s name was not heard.
- $500: Dr. Wharton won an Oreo dessert by Karen Berlin.
- $250: Mark Jennings won a box of Lumberjack cake pops by Justice Reynolds.
- $100: Lou Ann Anderson won a lemon pound cake by Courtney Atkins.
- $600: Judge Bruce Anderson won a tailgate party donated by Willie’s Place for 20 people on Thursday, November 7.
- $300: Gary Gates won a Hershey bar cake.
- $200: Mayor Gregg Reep won an ooey gooey chocolate cake by Kay Robinson.
- $200: Joey Cathey won a German chocolate cake.
- $250: Ariel Weaver won R and R woodworking cutting boards.
- $100: Mark Jennings won a Lumberjack chair donated by Cary Barnes.
- $375: Ms. Dutton won a football purse/tote donated by Marshall Taylor.
- $500: State Representative Jeff Wardlaw won an autographed lamp donated by Mark Jennings.
- $125: Devin McDermott won 5 Treylon Burks rookie cards.
The event was a resounding success, bringing the community together in support of the Lumberjacks as they gear up for an exciting football season.
