Alma Police Set to Announce “Significant Developments” in Morgan Nick Kidnapping Case

ALMA, Ark. – Officials with the Alma Police Department are preparing to announce “significant developments” in the long-standing kidnapping case of Morgan Nick, according to multiple state-wide media outlets, including KARK 4 News.

Alma Police Chief Jeff Pointer revealed that a media briefing is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Alma Police Department. This update could provide critical new information related to the 1995 abduction of Morgan Nick, a case that has remained unsolved for nearly three decades.

Morgan Nick, who was six years old at the time, disappeared from a Little League baseball game on June 9, 1995, at the Alma Baseball Complex. She had gone to catch fireflies with two friends near the ballpark parking lot, but while the two friends returned, Morgan never came back.

Witnesses later reported seeing a man near a red camper truck talking to Morgan before her disappearance. At the time, she was wearing a green Girl Scout shirt, blue denim shorts, and white tennis shoes.

The case gained renewed attention in 2023 with the release of a Hulu documentary, Still Missing Morgan, produced by Ridley Scott. The documentary highlighted the impact of the case and efforts to find Morgan.

The upcoming press briefing may offer new insights into the case that has haunted the community for nearly 30 years.
