Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Potential Threat Made by Woodlawn Student, Student In Custody

WOODLAWN, Ark. – Early Thursday morning, Woodlawn High School announced on its official Facebook page that a potential situation involving a threat made by one student toward another was brought to the attention of school authorities late Wednesday night.

According to the statement from Superintendent Dr. Kevin Hancock, school officials worked closely with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the threat. The student involved is currently in the custody of the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.

Further details about the incident are being withheld due to an ongoing investigation. Dr. Hancock emphasized the district’s commitment to ensuring the safety of all students, stating, “Your students’ safety is our top priority at Woodlawn School District.”
