Drew County Fair Introduces New Categories for 2024 Contest Entries

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Drew County Fair is bringing fresh excitement to this year’s contests with the introduction of new competition categories for participants of all ages. The new additions include a variety of creative and fun options, ensuring there’s something for everyone to showcase their talents. Categories include:

  • Eggs: Contestants can enter a carton containing six eggs.
  • Collections: Display at least three items creatively arranged.
  • Painted/Decorated Pumpkins: Use a real pumpkin for painting and decorating, but carving or punctures are not allowed.
  • Lego Projects: Build something from a kit or create an original design.
  • Diorama: Use either a kit or create an original diorama.
  • Puzzles: There are two divisions – Adult (1,000 pieces or more) and Junior (500-999 pieces). All entries must be glued and mounted on a sturdy background.

The fair is set to accept entries on September 29th, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to pick up entry tags at the Extension Office in advance to save time.
