Golf: Warren Men and Crossett Women Win 8-4A District Title

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Warren High School Lumberjack golf team captured the 8-4A District Men’s title today at Monticello, dominating the competition with a team score of 228. Warren’s top performers included standout golfers Rhett McGaha, Rhett Clanton, and Nash Crawford, whose impressive performances propelled the team to victory.

The team totals from the tournament are as follows:

  • Warren: 228
  • Stuttgart: 280
  • Crossett: 300
  • Monticello: 301
  • Hamburg: 320

Warren’s consistent and sharp play throughout the tournament solidified their place as one of the top teams in the district.

Monticello High School (MHS), the hosting school, also found success. Sophomore Bliss Becker placed 1st in the girls’ division, shooting a 99, while Sophomore Parker Hill finished 2nd in the boys’ division with an impressive score of 74. Both Parker and Bliss have qualified to compete in the State Tournament later this season.

In the women’s team competition, Crossett’s women’s team claimed the District title, adding to a strong showing for the Eagles at the tournament.
