Lumberjack Tennis faces Magnolia, Jaycee Courtney Named SRS Player of the Day

WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Lumberjack tennis team faced a tough matchup against Magnolia on Tuesday evening at Southern Arkansas University. Despite struggles in their ranked matches, the team secured a few notable victories in un-ranked play.

“We saw a lot of areas where we need improvement and where we need to continue to work on our game,” said Lumberjack Tennis Coach Micah Richey. “We’ll keep pushing forward.”

The Saline River Sports Player of the Day was Jaycee Courtney, who earned a win in her ranked singles match, excelling in her serves. “Jaycee continues to improve every day and puts in a lot of work on her own time. Congrats Jaycee!” praised Coach Richey.

Notably, the doubles team of Ava Denton and Anna Arroyo remains undefeated in both conference and non-conference play, while Courtney is undefeated in the No. 2 girls’ singles category within the conference.

The Lumberjacks will continue their season, looking to build on these individual successes as they work on improvements as a team.
