Phyllis Burns, age 80, of Warren, AR died Friday, September, 13th, 2024 in Monticello, AR. She was born Wednesday, November 24th, 1943 in Warren, AR a daughter of the late Roy Adams and Amy Lowry Adams.
Also preceding her in death was her brother Richard Adams and sisters Pat Temple and Roxene Dean. Phyllis was a lifelong elementary teacher with 28 years of service. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, a graduate of Warren High School and earned her teaching degree from the University of Monticello.
Surviving is her husband Larry Burns whom she married January 12th 1996. Her son Jeff Lucas, Warren, AR and step son Bryan Burns, Fayetteville, AR. Her daughter Janzy McKinney and spouse Ryan, Warren, AR and step daughter Stephanie Ellis and spouse Patrick, Conway, AR. 5 grandchildren Cameron Cobb, Cade Cobb, Cruiz Cobb, Cooper Cobb, and Cohen Ellis.
Graveside services were held 2:00PM Tuesday, September 17th,2024 at Oakland Cemetery. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer ‘s Funeral Home.
