This is the second time this article has run, but we are sharing it again in case you missed it.
WARREN, Ark. – HopePlace Warren will be hosting a Ministry & Mingle event on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Warren. This event will take the place of their traditional annual banquet fundraiser, with several notable changes made to accommodate the community.
The Ministry & Mingle event will feature a silent auction, live auction items, finger foods, and an opportunity for fellowship. Unlike previous years, no reservations are required, and everyone is welcome to attend. The silent auction will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and will end at 7:00 p.m. In addition, a few live auction items will be available for bidding.
Changes to the Event
One of the key changes this year is that no formal dinner will be served. Instead, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of finger foods while participating in the auction and mingling with fellow attendees. Organizers reassured guests, saying, “Don’t worry men, we have you covered, you shouldn’t go home hungry.” A brief 10-minute update on HopePlace Warren’s ministry will be given at 6:30 p.m.
The event will also provide seating for those who are unable to stand for the duration.
Why the Change from a Banquet to a Mingle?
HopePlace Warren explained that the decision to switch from a banquet format to a more relaxed mingle event was based on feedback from the community. Over the years, attendees have requested a shorter program. In addition, banquets are costly and reduce the overall profit from the fundraiser. Due to health conditions of some of the staff and board members, the organization felt it necessary to simplify the event this year.
They also emphasized that this fundraiser is crucial to the continuation of their ministry. The funds raised at the Ministry & Mingle will directly support HopePlace Warren’s efforts to serve the local community.
Attendees are encouraged to come out for an evening of fellowship, fun, and fundraising to help sustain this important local ministry.
