WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Lumberjack Tennis Team celebrated Senior Night on Thursday, September 19, with a successful match against Drew Central. Head Tennis Coach Micah Richey expressed gratitude for the support that made the evening special, stating, “From the fans, to the family members, and the sponsors, the Warren Lumberjack Tennis Team thanks you.”
Richey gave special recognition to those who contributed to the event: “A special thanks to Anna Boo’s Florist for the flower arrangements for the seniors and to Union Bank for sponsoring our event by providing food and drinks for everyone that attended and for purchasing custom plaques from RnR Woodworking for our seniors.”
He also praised Drew Central and its coach: “It’s always a pleasure to host Drew Central for our senior night. Coach Watson does a really good job with his team, and it serves as a great mid season non conference match. Both of our players get to see some new competition and it helps us greatly.”
The seniors celebrated were Braylen Watson, Naideth Pahuamba, Everlyn Torres, Aaryuna Farmer, Gabby Richardson (unable to attend), and J’ciana Strong. Reflecting on their time with the team, Coach Richey said, “A good majority of this group has been with me since I started tennis 3 years ago. They are also the first class I taught when I began my career in education. I am proud of the growth I have seen out of these young ladies and young man. I hope that they continue to strive for their goals and be successful in a way that suits them.”
All of the seniors were recognized as the Saline River Sports (SRS) Players of the Day.
