MONTICELLO, Ark. – Warren High School Tennis recently traveled to Monticello for their final conference match of the season, facing a tough competition where they secured one ranked win. Despite the struggles, the team is now focused on preparing for the district tournament set to take place on October 3rd in Monticello.
The highlight of the conference match came from the doubles team of Ava Denton and Anna Arroyo, who secured the lone win for Warren. Denton and Arroyo have had an outstanding season, finishing with only one conference loss. Reflecting on their performance, Warren Tennis Coach Micah Richey praised the duo, saying, “They have really created a strong relationship and dynamic that works well for them playing doubles together.”
Warren will be sending a strong lineup to the district tournament, with top-performing players across both singles and doubles categories.
Girls Singles:
- Presley Reep (3-3 in conference, 7-4 overall)
- Jaycee Courtney (5-1 in conference, 11-1 overall)
Girls Doubles:
- Anna Arroyo / Ava Denton (5-1 in conference, 10-1 overall)
- Naideth Pahuamba / Natalee Harmon (2-4 in conference, 4-4 overall)
Boys Singles:
- Braylen Watson (3-3 in conference, 6-4 overall)
- Caper Groves (3-3 in conference, 5-4 overall)
Boys Doubles:
- Angel Herron / David Rawls (2-1 in conference)
- Javier Garcia / Cale Vance (2-1 in conference)
With a strong showing throughout the season, Warren Tennis is poised to make a competitive push at the district level.
