MONTICELLO, Ark. – 10-7-24 – Maxwell Hardwood Flooring Inc. is rallying the communities of Monticello and Warren to gather essential supplies for victims of Hurricane Helene in Asheville, North Carolina. In collaboration with Gennett Lumber of Fletcher, North Carolina, Maxwell Hardwood Flooring is spearheading a donation drive to aid those affected by the devastating storm.
Donations are being accepted through Friday at two drop-off locations: Maxwell Hardwood Flooring’s facility at 190 Wilson Mill Road in Monticello, and the Ouachita/Townsend facilities at 501 Pennington Street in Warren. Both locations will have trailers marked with “Donations Here,” where community members can leave their contributions.
The victims of Hurricane Helene are in need of a variety of essential items. The requested supplies include:
- Water
- Gatorade
- Blankets
- Sleeping bags
- Tents
- Socks and undergarments for adults and children
- Toiletries such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes
- Diapers
- Paper towels and toilet paper
- Protein bars, canned food, and vinegar
- Lysol wipes and flashlights
- Batteries of all sizes
- 5-gallon buckets
In their call to action, Maxwell Hardwood Flooring emphasized the importance of community support during this critical time, urging residents to come together and fill the truck with supplies. “Let’s come together and fill up this truck!” the company wrote, thanking everyone for their compassion and generosity.
