STAR CITY, Ark. – The Star City High School Bulldog Tennis Team celebrated multiple victories at the District 8-4A Championship this week, with standout performances from their athletes.
Zander Gibson triumphed in a thrilling boys’ singles match against Judah Ray from Magnolia, earning the title of District 8-4A Champion. His marathon match victory contributed to a strong day for the Star City tennis program.
Additionally, the doubles team of Lilly Weast and Tanner Grayson secured their own District 8-4A Championship title. The sophomore duo, undefeated throughout the season, will represent Star City at the state tournament, scheduled to take place on October 14 in Clarksville.
The Star City Bulldogs continue to demonstrate excellence on the courts, with more success anticipated as they head to the state competition.
