UAM Women’s Golf Finish 20th Overall in Grace Shin Invitational

EDMOND, Okla. –  UAM Women’s Golf completed the final round of the Grace Shin Invitational at KickingBird Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 8, taking 20th place with a two-round combined score of 619 (+59).

Shehna Akbary led the Cotton Blossoms in the tournament, ending with a 36-hole combined score of 13-over par (153), tying for 66th after shooting a second round of 76 (+6).

Tori Milton and Natalie Van Dort tied for 70th with a total of 154 (+14). Milton fired a final round of 5-over par (75), while Van Dort finished with a second-round score of 76 (+6)

After shooting a second round of 9-over par (79), Mekdes Rozas finished the invitational tied for 88th after firing a 36-hole total of 158 (+18).

Finishing off for Arkansas-Monticello, Ximena Paz finished in 114th after a final round at 19-over par (89), and a two-round total of 169 (+29).

Up next, the Blossoms head to Hot Springs, Arkansas for the Battle for the Belt Tournament at Hot Springs Country Club (Park Course), hosted by the Henderson State University. The opening round of the tournament tees off on Sunday, Oct. 13.
