UAM Women’s Golf Finish Tied for Eighth in Battle for the Belt

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Arkansas-Monticello Women’s Golf team closed the Battle for the Belt Tournament at the Hot Springs Country Club (Park Course) on Monday, Oct. 14, hosted by Henderson State University. The Blossoms finished tied for eighth (alongside Christian Brothers University) after firing a 54-hole combined total of 932 (+68), fellow GAC member and tournament host Henderson State University finished first, posting a final score of  28-over par (892).

Tori Milton and Shehna Akbary led the Cotton Blossoms finishing tied for 22nd, with a final score of 15-over par (231). Milton shot a second round of 83 (+11) to end the tournament while Akbary fired a score of 2-over par (74).

With a final round score of 75 (+3), Natalie Van Dort completed the tournament tied for 27th, shooting a combined score of 233 (+17).

Mekdes Rozas shot a 3rd round score of 5-over par (77), to finish the Battle for the Belt in 41st place, with a three-round score of 237 (+21),

Cadee Glasgow rounds off the scoring for the Blossoms finishing in 61st place with a final score of 273 (+57), Galscow shot a final round of 92 (+20)

UP NEXT
The Blossoms return to the greens Monday, Oct. 28, and Tuesday, Oct. 29 in the Tulsa Cup from the Club at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
