In Loving Memory of Merline Lee Pinson, It is with both sorrow and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Merline Pinson, lovingly known as Momma, Maw Maw, and friend to all who knew her. She was called home on November 7 at the age of 93 surrounded by the legacy of love and faith she so generously shared. Born on January 24, 1931 in Warren, AR, Merline was a woman full of life, strength, and deep joy in Jesus. Her faith was her foundation, and she spent her days radiating the love of Christ to all she encountered. Whether through a smile that lit up a room, a listening ear, or a helping hand, her spirit was a constant source of comfort and encouragement. Merline was preceded in death by the love of her life, Olen Pinson, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love for 64 years. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, faith, and love, leaving behind a beautiful example for her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by a son, Raymond Dewayne Pinson, and cherished son-in-law, Hershel Pennington (Linda), parents, Jeff and Birdie Hooper Lee, siblings, Maxine Forest, James Lee, Billy Lee and Marilyn Forest. Her strength and resilience were as unwavering as her faith, and her life was a testament to the power of love and devotion. Her roles as “Momma” and “Maw Maw” were her greatest joys. Her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were blessed to be loved by a woman who was both a gentle caregiver and a strong, wise presence. Their hearts are full of memories of tree swings, abundant gardens, the best home cooking, pecan pickin’, muscadine jelly, her quick wit and sense of humor, wind-chimes and her coveted beauty tips. She imparted lessons of love, kindness, and the importance of faith, which will live on in each of their hearts. Beyond her family, Merline was known as a friend to many. Her warmth and compassion were felt by everyone she met, and her legacy of kindness and grace will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Merline will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the love she shared and the lives she touched.
She leaves behind a daughter, Linda Pennington-Jones (Steve) of Warren, a grandson, Shane Pennington (Angie), of Little Rock and 2 great granddaughters, McKenzie and Kennedy (Justin) who were the sparkle in her eye, and a special friend who was like a son to her, Randal Raney.
