Rison Shine Invites Community to Annual Cleveland County Christmas Parade

RISON, Ark. – Rison Shine Community Development, Inc. is gearing up for its annual Christmas celebration, inviting the community to participate in the Cleveland County Christmas Parade on Thursday, Dec. 12, in downtown Rison. The parade is set to begin at 7 p.m. and will showcase an array of festive floats and decorated bicycles.

Following the success of last year’s parade, which featured over 40 participants, Rison Shine is hoping to create another magical evening. President Celeste Beatty encourages local groups, including school classes, churches, and businesses, to “put together a float for the parade.” Children of all ages are welcome to participate, with those under 12 required to have an adult accompany them.

Gateway Bank will sponsor cash prizes for the best-decorated floats and bicycles, adding an extra spark of excitement to the evening. Floats will gather at the gate of Pioneer Village around 6:40 p.m., proceeding through The Green House Cottages of Southern Hills and heading north on Main Street, where the parade will conclude with a special visit from Santa in the park.

After the parade, guests can extend the festive experience by visiting Pioneer Village at Rison for a drive-thru Christmas light display. For additional information, residents are encouraged to call (870) 325-6412 or contact Rison Shine via Facebook.
