Thomas J. “T.J.” Moran, age 89, of Crossett, AR passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehab in Crossett, AR. He was born on June 13, 1935 in Vick, AR to the late Thomas Rufus Moran and Lonar Lee Goodwin Moran. He was retired from Georgia Pacific and a member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church.
Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Stanley Smith Moran; brothers, Roger Dale, Charles William and Kenneth Glenn; sisters, Tennie Ellen Watkins, Norma Lee Reynolds and Libby Dison and three grandchildren.
He is survived by four step-children, Danny Smith of Hamburg, AR, Gayle Scroggins and spouse Craig of Little Rock, AR, Lavon Smith and spouse Jeni of Atlanta, GA and Virgil Smith and spouse Amanda of Lacey, AR; one brother, James Edward Moran of Texarkana, TX; four sisters, Carolyn Pratt of Bastrop, LA, Charlotte Wilcoxon of Crossett, AR, Sherry Nichols of West Monroe, LA and Sheryl Kathy Barnett and spouse Dennis of Crossett, AR; one sister-in-law, Donnie Moran of Hamburg, AR; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in Carlock Cemetery in Ashley County by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
