Warren struck early, scoring on its opening possession with an impressive 20-yard run by Antonio Jordan to take a 6-0 lead. The Lumberjack defense held strong, with Cam Burks snagging an interception to thwart Mills’ first drive. Shortly after, Jordan added a 70-yard touchdown reception, putting Warren ahead 12-0.
Mills clawed back in the second quarter, capitalizing on strong field position to score on a 21-yard quarterback draw, cutting the deficit to 12-7. But Jordan wasn’t done. He ripped off a 25-yard touchdown run and completed a two-point conversion pass to Tramond Miller, extending Warren’s lead to 20-7.
Moments later, Quarterback Cam Burks connected with Neon’dre Thomas on a beautiful go route for a 72-yard touchdown pass. Although the two-point conversion attempt fell short, Warren extended its lead to 26-7.

The Comets responded, scoring on a quarterback keeper and recovering a Warren turnover late in the half. However, the Lumberjacks’ defense made a crucial goal-line stand to preserve a 26-14 lead at halftime.
The third quarter saw momentum swing back and forth. Mills opened with a touchdown to close the gap to 26-21, but Warren answered quickly with a 4-yard Jordan run, pushing the lead to 32-21. Mills trimmed the lead again with a field goal and tied the game 32-32 late in the quarter with a rushing touchdown and two-point conversion.
In the fourth quarter Burks found Miller in the flats for a touchdown to give Warren a 40-32 lead, but Mills immediately returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown and tied the game at 40-40 with a two-point conversion.
With just 19 seconds left, Mills quarterback capped off the night with a game-winning touchdown on a keeper. A last-second Hail Mary attempt by Warren fell incomplete, sealing the Comets’ 47-40 victory.
Despite the loss, Warren finishes the season with an impressive 10-3 record, claiming the 8-4A Conference Title.
