Martha Ruth Ross Young, 1938-2025

Martha Ruth Ross Young, age 86, of Rye, AR passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 at JRMC in Pine Bluff, AR. She was born on February 19, 1938 in Warren, AR to the late Ira Ross and Maudie Groves Ross. She was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Jordan Young whom she married on August 9, 1957 and he passed away on December 14, 2018; infant daughter, Melanie Ann Young; brothers, Jimmy Ross and sisters, Barbara Ross and Janet Frisby.

Survivors include her sons, Terry Young and spouse Vanessa of Rye, AR and Anthony Young and spouse Tammy of Cunningham, TN; grandchildren, Kenneth Young (Shelley), Jennifer Dooly (Steve), Janée Almand (Jody), Andrea Young (Sam) and Erin Young; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 at Frazer’s Funeral Home. Burial was in Union Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
