Warren’s Paige Byrd Selected for President’s Leadership Forum at OBU

WARREN, Ark. – Paige Byrd, a senior at Warren High School, has been selected for the President’s Leadership Forum at Ouachita Baptist University (OBU), an honor recognizing top students in Arkansas. The selection, made by OBU’s president, highlights Byrd’s impressive academic achievements, including maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.

In addition to this recognition, Byrd has received a $68,000 scholarship offer from OBU, to be distributed over four years, should she choose to attend the university in the fall. Byrd has also been offered a $36,000 scholarship to Mississippi State University and is awaiting scholarship offers from the University of Arkansas.

Looking ahead, Byrd has a busy schedule of collegiate cheerleading tryouts. She will participate in tryouts for OBU in March, for the University of Arkansas during Easter weekend, and for Mississippi State University on May 8. With multiple opportunities and decisions ahead, Byrd’s family is proud of her accomplishments and the exciting path she has before her.

The President’s Leadership Forum at OBU will take place on February 2-3, providing Byrd an opportunity to connect with fellow top students from across the state.
