MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello’s Men’s Basketball team returns to the court for the first time in 2025 at home on January 4 at 3:00 p.m. The Bolls Weevils are set to take on the Reddies of Henderson State University as they continue their 2024-25 campaign.
“Henderson State is really tough, physical, and well-coached,” said Head Coach Chad Tapp “We’ve had good practices back from the break. We need to show that we’ve made some improvements since our last outing.”

LAST MEETING
Henderson State University – The Weevils were the winners in the last meeting, taking down the Reddies, 74-67, at home in Monticello. Zane Nelson led the way for Arkansas-Monticello with 24 points, going 7-18 on total field goals, 3-9 three-pointers, and 7-10 from the line. Nelson also contributed four rebounds, six assists, and a steal in his 39 minutes of play. Isaac Jackson followed close behind, contributing 21 points of his own throughout the game, hitting 8-18 field goals, 1-7 threes, and also 4-5 free throws with three rebounds and a steal.

Henderson State University – The Reddies lead UAM with an overall record of 78-55, since the first meeting in December of 1960. The Boll Weevils would take the first game 67-65 in Arkadelphia. Since that game, they have posted 54 more wins with an eight-game win streak between January 14, 2017 – February 8, 2020. Arkansas Monticello is 32-32 at home, with a 23-38 record on the road against Henderson State. The largest margin of victory posted came via a 77-56 win in February of 2008. Overall, the Weevils have posted 9288 points against the Reddies, averaging 69.83 points in 133 games played.
LAST TIME OUT FOR UAM
