Bradley County Medical Center was recently made aware of multiple scam phone calls by a person claiming to work for a company named Apex and telling people they are associated with the BCMC Pharmacy Department.
The caller has told people two different stories saying Apex is a pharmacy staffing company and the other that they are a pharmaceutical rep. They claim to either service the BCMC Pharmacy or have been transferred here. In all instances the person is claiming their credit card was compromised and needs gas money to get home.
BCMC does not work with a company named Apex in any regard. If you receive a call from someone claiming to work for the BCMC Pharmacy through Apex, it is a scam. Hang up and contact the police. Additionally, as a general rule, you should never send money to someone you do not know personally.
