Charles Dewayne Slaughter (Slugger), age 68 of Warren, AR died Monday February 17th, 2025 in Warren, AR. He was born May 27, 1956 in Warren, AR a son of the late Uriah Slaughter and Mattie Bryant Slaughter Vaughan. Slugger was a lifelong welder, his favorite saying was, (when God said, let there be light, Slugger struck an arc! ) He was a Christian, member of local #155 out of Little Rock, AR and attended Fordyce public schools. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Roy Slaughter.
Survivors include a son, Charles Dean Slaughter, Kingsland, AR and a daughter Brandy Slaughter Havlik, Slovak, AR and spouse Michael Todd Havlik. Sisters Mary Brown, Kingsland, AR and Linda Daniels, Bearden, AR. 7 grandchildren Malakai Allen, Presley Johns, Gracie Slaughter, Sarah Slaughter, Dalton Arnold, Darci Slaughter and Makai Allen. 1 great-grandchild Jordan Arnold.
Funeral services were 1:00PM Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial was in Reaves Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
