Lady Jacks Fall to Monticello Despite Strong Start

MONTICELLO, Ark. – The Warren Lady Jacks came out strong Tuesday night at Billie Arena, but a tough second half saw them fall 54-43 to the Monticello Lady Billies in conference action.

Warren wasted no time establishing control early, as Bayleigh Miller and Natalie Hargrave combined for six points to give the Lady Jacks a 7-4 lead after the opening quarter.

Freshman Khourtni Johnson provided a spark in the second quarter with five points, keeping Warren within striking distance, but Monticello edged ahead to take a 23-20 lead into halftime.

The Lady Jacks remained competitive in the third, fueled by four points from Livi McKinney and three from Breize Fellows. Entering the final quarter, Warren trailed by just three, 37-34. However, the offensive momentum slowed in the fourth, allowing Monticello to pull away for the win.

The loss moves Warren to 4-5 in conference play and 8-18 overall.
