STAR CITY, Ark. – The Warren Lumberjacks showcased their resilience Tuesday night, overcoming a double-digit halftime deficit to edge the Star City Bulldogs by a final score of 62-58. The come-from-behind thriller keeps Warren’s conference record unblemished and solidifies the Jacks’ place atop the 8-4A standings.

Warren jumped out to a 16-12 lead after the first quarter, fueled by a seven-point opening frame from Tramond Miller. However, the second quarter belonged to Star City, as the Bulldogs’ surge and Warren’s scoring drought combined for a 34-23 Star City advantage at the break.

The third quarter started slowly for Warren, but midway through, the Lumberjacks found their rhythm. By the close of the period, Warren had clawed back to within two at 41-39. In the decisive fourth quarter, Antonio Jordan caught fire with 10 points. Bleyze Fellows, David Jordan, Jr., and Miller then chipped in key baskets, while Miller’s clutch free throws in the final seconds sealed the 62-58 victory.
With the win, Warren remains perfect in conference play (7-0) and improves to 11-2 overall. Star City, currently in second place at 5-2, has suffered both of its conference losses at the hands of the Lumberjacks.
