WARREN, Ark. – First Baptist Church of Warren will host a special presentation of the Jewish Passover meal, known as the Seder Meal, on Sunday, April 6 at 6:00 p.m., led by Butch Reeves.
Reeves, who formerly worked with the international ministry Jews for Jesus during his time living in Israel, will walk attendees through the elements and significance of the Seder Meal. The presentation will explore the ancient traditions that commemorate the Israelites’ deliverance from over 400 years of slavery in Egypt.
The Seder Meal holds deep historical and spiritual meaning. It was this meal that Jesus observed with His disciples on the night He was arrested, just prior to His crucifixion. Today, Christians see a direct connection between that observance and the practice of Holy Communion, also referred to as the Lord’s Supper.
The April 6 event is open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
