WARREN, Ark.—The Warren Lady Jacks overcame an early deficit to defeat the Woodlawn Lady Bears 7-3 on Monday, March 10.

Woodlawn jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, while Warren was retired in order in the bottom half.
Warren’s defense tightened, setting down the Lady Bears in order in the second. Bayleigh Miller was hit by a pitch to lead off Warren’s half but was left stranded, keeping the Lady Jacks trailing 2-0 after two innings.
In the third inning, Warren’s defense again held firm. The Lady Jacks’ offense sparked as Raeleigh Milton drew a leadoff walk. After one out, Haven Johnson reached with a bunt single, putting runners on first and second. Ember Johnson was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Miller then delivered a stand-up double, driving in three runs to put Warren ahead 3-2.
Woodlawn answered in the top of the fourth, tying the game at 3-3 after capitalizing on an error following two quick outs.
The Lady Jacks responded immediately in their half of the fourth. Presley Reep singled, followed by Milton’s bunt single. Haven Johnson then hit a two-run triple, pushing Warren back ahead 5-3. Ember Johnson singled home Haven Johnson, extending the lead. Charlee Wardlaw added another hit, and by inning’s end, Warren held a 6-3 advantage.
Warren’s defense, bolstered by Raeleigh Milton’s pinpoint pitching, kept Woodlawn off the scoreboard for the rest of the game. Milton tossed a complete game, scattering seven hits while striking out two and allowing just one walk.
Haven Johnson recorded her third hit of the day with a two-out bunt single in the bottom of the sixth but was left stranded.
Offensively, Warren was led by Haven Johnson (3-for-4), while Charlee Wardlaw (1-2), Bayleigh Miller (1-2), Raeleigh Milton (1-2), Pressly Reep (1-3), and Ember Johnson (2 RBI) each contributed key hits.
With Milton’s commanding performance in the circle, the Lady Jacks closed out a 7-hit, 7-3 victory over Woodlawn.
