Marcia Loyette Clanton Quimby, born on December 27, 1942, on the banks of the Saline River at Moore’s Mill in Johnsville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home in Stonewall, Louisiana, on February 27, 2025.
Marcia is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Michael Quimby; her loving daughter, Sherri Quimby Troegel, and her husband, Bill. She was a proud grandmother to Alex Troegel and his wife, Stacey, and Katy Allen and her husband, Cale. Marcia’s legacy continues through her cherished great- grandchildren: Dierks Troegel, Maggie Troegel, Vada Troegel, Tripp Allen, and Tori Allen.
She is also survived by her brother, Randy Clanton Sr.; her uncles, Roger Harrod, John Harrod, and Shelby Harrod; her aunt, Ruth Barnett; a host of nieces, nephews, and dozens of cousins and extended family members.
Marcia had a passion for cooking, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, and playing bridge. Her life was a testament to love, family, and resilience. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service was held at Calvary Presbyterian Cemetery on Monday, March 3, at 1:00 PM in Johnsville, AR.
