The Jacks improved to 4-0 on the season as they held the Rattlers (2-2) to three hits in the four-inning contest. Antonio Jordan, Bryson Harris, Nathan Spears, and Ren Reep each laced two hits in the game to lead Warren. Reep pitched all four innings and allowed two unearned runs on three hits with two punchouts.

The Orange and Black mounted a two-out rally in the top of the first when Harris and Reep smacked back-to-back RBI singles for a 2-0 edge. Murfreesboro got a single run back on an error in the bottom half of the opening frame and scored on a passed ball in the second inning to knot the score at 2-2.

However, the tie was short-lived as the Rattlers allowed two runs to score on an error of their own to give Warren a 4-2 lead in the third inning. The Lumberjacks kept the pressure on the fourth and final frame when Hayden Cathey posted an RBI single to extend the score to 5-2. Reep doubled home a run and later scored on an error to make the tally 7-2. Reep worked around a one-out single in the bottom half to seal the win for the Lumberjacks.

Warren was scheduled to close out the Southwest Sporting Goods Classic later with a matchup against Ouachita, but the rain in the area forced the cancellation of that game. The Lumberjacks are scheduled to travel to Arkadelphia on Wednesday, March 12, to play non-conference foe Genoa Central in a neutral field matchup at Clyde Berry Field on the campus of Henderson State University. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
