WHS Class of 1977 establishes scholarships for JROTC cadet, graduating senior

WARREN, Ark. – The Warren High School Class of 1977 has announced the establishment of two inaugural scholarships aimed at supporting local students in their academic and career pursuits. The scholarships will be awarded to an outstanding JROTC cadet and a graduating senior who plans to pursue a trade or secondary education.

The JROTC Scholarship, valued at $1,000, will be awarded to a student who has completed at least three years in the WHS JROTC program. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75, submit their high school transcript, and write an essay as part of the selection process.

The WHS Class of 1977 Legacy Scholarship, also valued at $1,000, will be granted to a graduating senior who meets the minimum GPA requirement of 2.7 and plans to continue their education in a trade school or secondary institution. Applicants must provide a high school transcript, an essay, and three letters of recommendation.

The deadline to apply for both scholarships is April 15, 2025. More details on the application process are expected to be released through Warren High School in the coming weeks.
