Fordyce to Host Free Multi-County Beekeeping Workshop on April 7

FORDYCE, Ark. – 4-1-25 – Residents from across the region, including Bradley County, are invited to attend a free multi-county “Beekeeping Basics” workshop hosted by the Dallas County Cooperative Extension Service. The event will take place on Monday, April 7, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Fordyce Civic Center, located on the Hwy 79 Bypass.

Designed for beginners and those interested in learning more about beekeeping, the workshop will feature Jon Zawislak, Apiculture Instructor with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. Zawislak will lead the session, offering practical tips and foundational knowledge on managing bees and maintaining healthy hives.

There is no cost to attend, and no pre-registration is required.

This multi-county event is open to the public, with residents from neighboring counties, including Bradley County, especially encouraged to attend. The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture supports equal opportunity for all participants. Anyone needing special accommodations should contact the Dallas County Extension Office in advance.
