Joette Wallace Cathey age 87, of Warren, AR passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 6th, 2025. She was born Friday September 24th, 1937 in Banks, AR to Hurley and Lorene O’Neil Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 71 years E.M. “Curley” Cathey and sibling Bobby Gene Wallace.
Mrs. Joette was the co-owner and operator of South Ark Auto Auction, where she served as administrative clerk and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and granny.
Surviving is her children, Tony M. Cathey and spouse Kim, Alesia Lassiter and spouse Donald Lee. Grandchildren Jeff Cathey and spouse Holly, Joey Cathey and spouse Cassidy, Brannigan Dixon and spouse Brian, Marqus Lassiter, 2 step-grandchildren Megan Holloway and spouse Nick and Justin Smith. 12 grandchildren. A sister Betty Adair, a host of nieces, and nephews and friends. 3 special caregivers.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, April 8th at Frazer’s Chapel with Rev. Rocky Goodwin. Burial in Crossroads Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation 10:30 AM till service time on Tuesday at Frazer’s Chapel.
