Warren jumped on the board early in the second inning after Raeleigh Milton tripled with one out. Presley Reep knocked in Milton with a two-out RBI, and Blythe Calloway followed with a single to score Reep, giving the Lady Jacks a 2-0 lead.
Warren’s defense remained steady throughout the early innings. In the bottom of the third, Crossett threatened with a runner on base, but catcher Charlee Wardlaw ended the inning with a strike to second to catch a would-be base stealer.
The Lady Jacks broke the game open in the sixth inning. Blythe Calloway drew a walk, followed by Haven Johnson being hit by a pitch. Ember Johnson walked to load the bases, and Charlee Wardlaw delivered the big blow with a 3-RBI triple. Wardlaw would score on a wild pitch to make it 6-0.
Crossett answered with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning, but Warren held strong. In the seventh, Ember Johnson added insurance with a two-out RBI double to extend the lead to 8-2, where it would stay.
At the plate, Haven Johnson went 2-for-3. Wardlaw and Reep each went 2-for-4, while Calloway was 1-for-2. Milton and Ember Johnson also contributed with 1-for-3 performances.
