The Rotary Club of Warren met Tuesday, April 22 inside the First Methodist Church Fellowship Hall for its second meeting of April. The club heard from Warren High School Junior Rotarian Yamel Covarrubias to begin things before hearing from two different programs.

The crowd heard from Mayor Gregg Reep about the Donald W. Reynolds YMCA of Warren and Bradley County Foundation. He wanted to remind people about the YMCA Foundation and that people can donate to the foundation, including memorials. Donations are a bit down recently, but he is hopeful people will start to remember the YMCA Foundation when it comes to their charitable giving. The club also received stroke education from Bradley County Medical Center’s Clinical Nurse Educator Krissy Morrison and ER Nurse Manager Paige Stell. They went over the signs and symptoms of strokes and the importance of getting to a stroke-ready emergency room, such as BCMC, as quickly as possible. The Rotary Club of Warren meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at noon.
