WARREN, Ark. – 5-27-25 – Bradley County 4-H members recently participated in the Ouachita District Broiler BBQ competition, showcasing their grilling talents alongside youth from across the region. The event, designed to test participants’ skills in preparing and grilling chicken to perfection, drew competitors from multiple counties.

Bradley County was represented by two 4-H participants at the event. Jack Chambers earned Second Place honors for his expertly grilled chicken, impressing judges with his technique and flavor.

The District Broiler BBQ is part of a broader initiative to teach 4-H youth practical cooking skills, food safety, and confidence in presentation. Participants are evaluated on their grilling methods, cleanliness, and the final taste and appearance of their dish.

Local extension officials praised the county’s participants for their hard work and commitment, noting the event is an excellent opportunity for young people to develop life skills and represent their community with pride.
