On May 6, 2025, Ethan Allred, Hermitage High School, was announced as the recipient of the 2025 Sam Clanton Memorial Foundation Scholarship at the Hermitage High School FFA Banquet. This is the fourth annual scholarship awarded by the Sam Clanton Memorial Foundation, a non-profit- 501 (c)(3) organization. The scholarship is open to both Hermitage and Warren High School senior applicants.
This scholarship is awarded in memory of the late Sam Clanton of Hermitage, AR who passed away in July of 2020 and is targeted to students with plans to further their education after high school in a trade field or majoring in agriculture at a four year university. After graduation, Allred plans to attend South Arkansas College to pursue training in Plumbing. A scholarship committee carefully reviews applications each year and chooses an applicant based on academic excellence, financial need, and essay response. Congratulations, Mr. Ethan Allred on this great achievement.
